Why is withholding tax being applied on my account?
Withholding tax may be applied to US and AU shares.
AU shares:
Tax can be withheld if:
- You are not an Australian resident for tax purposes
- You have not provided your Tax File Number (TFN) to Superhero
- Specific withholding tax rules apply for the security
US shares:
Tax can be withheld however the rate will depend on:
- Your Tax residency
- The information provided in your W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E or W9 form
